Modern Magician － Dani DaOrtiz

This week, I’m going to introduce a well-known modern magician, Dani DaOrtiz.

His most famous magic” Open Triumph” which I shared two weeks ago was incredible!

Dani DaOrtiz is a Spanish, major in closed-up. He is GOD!

He is guest in all big magic conventions. He is funny. He always“DALADALADADADA” when he is shuffling the card. This is his unique feature.

He is friends with many great magicians. You guys may not know, all of the audience in his video are celebrated magicians. But! I can swear that no trick is colluded in advance.

Closed up --2

This week, I’m going to introduce the sponge ball and the coin.

Sponge ball is cool and interesting! But my performance still need more practice. 

Coin is a classic item and it's necessity in our life. Coin is not my major, but I still know some easy tricks to perform. Coin takes a lot practice to be an expert, that’s why I’m not major in it haha.

Usually, we use US half dollar to do the magic because it's bigger.

Closed-up --1

 Closed-up is the last kind of performance. I’m going to introduce the playing card and the rubber band this week.

Closed-up is doing the magic in front of your face with a small group of audiences. Magician will use something common in our life, such as cards and coins.

I’m major in the rubber band. I think rubber band is really cool to play with a little circle and it’s much familiar to our life comparing with cards.

The video is my performance to classmates last week. If you guys love it, you can find me at the break or before the class every week. I’ll do the magic to you!

Party

  Party is another kind of magic.
  Comparing with stage, party is closer to the audience. But party still leaves a little distance with the audience, unlike the closed-up which is face to face.

  Party magic is for about thirty to three hundred people(or even more). Party magic is having more connection with the audience. Usually, magician will pick an audience to the stage for more interactions.

  When performing party magic, magician will have some jokes to make people laughs. It ibrings more fun, but there is still some risks and difficulties. First, we might need to deal with irritating audiences. Second, people might feel bored to your silly jokes. Third, people may not even put an eye on you.

  If possible, I would like to perform party magic at the end of the semester, of course in English!

Stage

  Magic performance can be easily classified into three kinds. One is stage, another is party, and the other is closed-up.

  Stage magic is usually performed by one person and keep a distance to the audience. The followings are some classic subjects, such as balls, umbrellas, doves, cards, roses and fans.

 Stage music is along with beatuful lights and  great music. Usually, there is no other voice but music. What I want to share is the specific one.

  TA NA MANGA won the FISM World Championship General Magic in 2012. They also won many awards with this performance. I have seen their performance in Taiwan. Everybody standed up and applaused after their performance. That was truly an unforgettable meomory to me.
